Libyan Arab Foreign Investment Company



The LAFICO (Libyan Arab Foreign Investment Company) is the Libyan government organization in charge for international investments before the establishment of the Libyan Investment Authority on 2006. Goals of the fund was to manage the revenues of Libya's oil diversifying the dependence of national income.

Overseas financial assets of Libya are controlled by the Libyan Arab Foreign Bank, controlled by the Central Bank of Libya. Completely different is the role of the Libyan Arab African Investment Company, focused on investments in the African Continent.
